I research pedigrees and find out as much as I can about the Sire of my Puppies Health issues, Temperament of the Sire,, etc. The breeder of the Sire and I exchange all information, such as OFA results, Cerf on Eyes, Health Screening, and results of specific tests that are now available for Wheatens. etc., so I feel I am breeding to the best of my availability for healthy pups.
From the day the puppies are born they are being taught the fun of being with humans. Close supervision helps me to know each puppy's traits. Socialization and helping the puppy to be used to daily activities in a home is also very important.
